Our Story
Founded by product, marketing and AI veterans from companies like Apple, Verizon, and Legal Zoom, Sentaiment's journey began not as a grand strategic initiative, but as a simple side project born from genuine curiosity. While working on an original startup idea, our founding team was conducting competitive analysis and decided to compare how different AI language models characterized various companies in our space.
The results were shocking. We discovered dramatic inconsistencies in how these companies were represented across different LLMs – factual information was contradictory, sentiment varied wildly, and in some cases, AI systems were creating entirely fabricated details about these businesses. What one AI system presented as fact, another completely contradicted.
That was our "aha moment." If this level of inconsistency existed for established companies with significant digital footprints, what did it mean for every other brand trying to navigate this new AI-mediated reality? We immediately recognized this wasn't just an interesting observation – it was a fundamental challenge for any business caring about how they're perceived.
With this insight in hand, we reached out to a friend – a technical founder who was just about to exit from his AI document startup. When we pitched him our discovery and the potential solution, he immediately saw the vision. His response was enthusiastic: "This is a real problem that nobody's solving. Let's build it."
